The Calcasieu Parish Employee Federal Credit Union

A Credit Union is a non-profit financial organization owned and controlled by the people who use its services. Credit Unions are governed by elected members who serve on a board of directors and represent the people in it. These officials make the decisions of the members they represent. The members of the Credit Union pool their money together in an effort to receive more reasonable rates on loans and savings accounts.

This money is invested together to provide a larger but safe return. The money that is not invested is allocated to undivided earnings and is used for stability and growth of the organization. During different periods of the year the board votes to pass on savings to you in the forms of reduced rates on loans and higher paying dividends on savings. The Employees of the Credit Union are here to serve you and will always do what is necessary to save you money. Always remember that any business done with your Credit Union benefits you as an individual as well as the Credit Union as a whole.

Our Credit Union is audited Federally and internally each year to ensure that operations are done according to NCUA regulations. (National Credit Union Administration)

Disaster Preparedness

 

1. The Credit Union will stay in constant contact with the Parish officials. Use the Parish contact information to find out about your Credit Union.
2. We will make arrangements to contact the radio. (KYKZ 96)
3. Information will be posted on this website and updated in the event of an emergency.
4. We will set up an offsite location to send out checks to those who need them out of town. The information will be provided as needed.
5. We will reopen as soon as possible as instructed by authorities.
6. Do Not Worry We Are Prepared!!!!!! Your funds are safe!!!!!!!!
